IPTV on Android TV: Setup and Common Fixes

Android TV offers full access to the Google Play Store, making it one of the most flexible platforms for IPTV — you can choose from a wide range of feature-rich player apps rather than being limited to one manufacturer's store.
Setup steps
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android TV device
- Search for and install a supported IPTV player app
- Open the app and choose 'Add playlist' or 'Xtream Codes login'
- Enter your FREEGOIPTV4K credentials
- Browse categories or use the EPG to start watching
Common Android TV issues
App installs but crashes on launch
Clear the app's cache from Android TV's Settings → Apps menu and relaunch it. If it still crashes, uninstall and reinstall the app — an incomplete update is the usual cause.
Remote lag or slow menu navigation
This is typically the box or TV's own processor under load, not your IPTV connection. Closing background apps and, if possible, connecting via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi usually restores a smooth interface.
