How to Install IPTV on a MAG Box
MAG boxes don't use an M3U link or an app store the way most other streaming devices do. Instead, they connect to a portal URL and are authorized by their MAC address — a different setup model that's worth understanding before you start.
How MAG boxes are different
A MAG box runs dedicated middleware (commonly Stalker or Ministra) rather than downloadable apps. Instead of installing a player, you enter a portal URL directly in the box's settings, and the provider authorizes your specific device using its MAC address — a unique hardware identifier, similar in concept to a serial number.
What you need
- A MAG box connected via Ethernet (recommended) or a Wi-Fi adapter
- Your portal URL and your device's MAC address registered with your provider
Installation steps
- Turn on your MAG box and open the System Settings menu
- Go to Servers → Portals and enter the portal URL provided with your subscription
- Save the settings and restart the MAG box to apply the change
- If this is your first setup, send your device's MAC address to your provider so it can be authorized
- Once authorized, the portal automatically loads your channels and VOD library
- Navigate the on-screen menu to browse and start watching
Finding your MAC address
It's usually printed on a sticker on the bottom or back of the MAG box, and is also visible in the device's network settings menu if the sticker has worn off or isn't legible.
Troubleshooting
Portal shows a blank or error screen
Confirm your MAC address has actually been authorized on the provider's side, and double-check the portal URL was entered exactly as provided — a single mistyped character will produce this symptom.
Frequent disconnects
Use a wired Ethernet connection wherever possible. MAG boxes are generally more sensitive to Wi-Fi interference than phones or newer streaming sticks, and a wired connection resolves most recurring disconnects.
